The manager of Manchester City, Manuel Pellegrini, has said that he has got full faith in the abilities of Joe Hart and he is sure that the 26 years old goalie will be back in form pretty soon.
Hart was City’s first choice goalkeeper when the ongoing season started, but, he committed a lot of mistakes in the first few games and as a result, he lost his place in the starting line up to Costel Pantilimon.
However, playing for the Three Lions against Germany at the Wembley Stadium the other day, Hart looked quite good. He made some great saves in that game. However, despite his effort, England lost that game by 0-1.
Now, it will be interesting to see whether Pellegrini brings Hart back in the starting line up when City plays its first match after the international break against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday. That will be a home game for City.
It would be a tough call for the City manager though as Pantilimon hasn’t done poorly either in the limited opportunities that he has been given.
Talking to the reporters yesterday, Pellegrini said, “Joe has played a lot of football in the recent past and we thought maybe he needed a bit of a break. But, he is a vital guy for us; there is no doubt about that.”
“As a manager, you want to keep rotating your players. You want 22 players to be in good shape rather than having only 11.”
“My job is to try and analyze each and every player in the squad and that’s what I try to do. I speak to them regularly. As far as Joe is concerned, I am 100% sure that he will hit top form.”
Hart has been a part of Manchester City since 2006.

Ahead of the match with Arsenal on Sunday, Stoke City manager Mark Hughes has revealed that striker Kenwyne Jones can still earn a new contract, but that largely depends on the striker’s form over the next few months. Jones will be out of contract in the summer, and it has started an urgency amongst Stoke to tie him down to a long-term deal. The former Sunderland striker was out of favour under previous manager Tony Pulis, but he has been a regular under Mark Hughes. He has been able to keep former England international Peter Crouch out of the first-team.
He is once again expected to start against Arsenal, and his aerial presence could prove to be a key factor if Stoke City are to come away with anything from the match. Hughes, though, was extremely relaxed about the situation because he thinks that there’s still a lot of time for contract talk. This is still early days in the season and it is better that Jones concentrates on his football according to Hughes. He has also praised the management at Stoke City, who according to him have provided a lot of stability when compared with his time at the likes of QPR and Manchester City.
He is so far happy with the way the season has panned out.
“It’s early days in terms of contracts. I am aware of the situation with a lot of the players, but for me the important thing for me now is trying to win football matches. Kenwyne has been fantastic this season, and if he plays as well as he has done I am sure that he will score a lot of goals for us. He is capable of scoring a lot of goals at this level. I sense that Kenwyne is enjoying it at the moment,” said Hughes.

Hull city manager Steve Bruce has revealed that he wants the club to bring in the strikeforce of Danny Graham and Nicklas Bendtner before the end of the transfer window. There is only just over a month to go before the close of the transfer window. After being promoted to the Premier league once again, Hull city will be hoping to stay in the league this time around. Bruce, who has already experienced relegation with a few clubs before, has done a stellar job since taking over at Hull city after his sacking from the Sunderland job.
Sunderland brought in the former Swansea striker Danny Graham in the January transfer window, but he has been a major failure at the Stadium of Light. He has not scored in 13 appearances for the club. Hence, it is believed that Sunderland manager Paolo Di Canio is willing to cut losses by selling the player. Hull city have shown interest in him, while they have also interested in Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner as well. Bruce has worked with Bendtner in the past. The Arsenal man is definitely not going to stay at the Emirates stadium and has been linked with several clubs across Europe.
Bruce tried to sign Burnley striker Charlie Austin, but he collapsed because the player failed a medical.
“He’s a very good player who hasn’t had the best of times. It’s something we’re looking at. I’ve had Nicklas twice and he’s a good player but he’s on a lot of money at Arsenal. I can’t see us being able to get anywhere near that with salary levels, but we’ll keep trying and he’s another player we’re looking at. We’ve got to be patient, because the big clubs haven’t made moves yet. We’re hopeful that when they do become available we can act,” said Bruce.
